Abi Joins The Opera!

The 3 Piggy Opera, that is.

Abi's second grade music class performed a retelling of the Three Little Pigs known as "The 3 Piggy Opera", a wonderfully funny musical twist of the old tale.

There were a number of funny songs.  Abi is in the right bleachers on the top row.

We sang and laughed and had a very good time -
everyone but the wolf, that is!

Emi's Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese's

It doesn't seem possible, but our little Emi is now 6 years old!

She wanted to have her party at  Chuck E. Cheese's of all places!  So here's what it looked like.

It was NOT a quiet place!  But the kids had a lot of fun and Emi even got to get a hug from Chuck E.

Emi and her new BOMDIGIDIES (boots of extraordinary wonder)!

Oh What a Night! David and Marisa's Wedding!

What a blast of a weekend!  It started with the rehearsal on Friday night.  Then, it was off to Mary Mac's Tea Room for the rehearsal dinner.

We had the best of great food, laughs, and sharing all about David and Marisa with the extended families and friends

Finally, on Saturday evening at 6 PM, the wedding, followed by the reception at the The Trolley Barn where there was a fun time for all!

Thanks to all our family and friends who made this weekend so special!

HALLOWEEN PARTY

Saturday, October 30, 2010

We went to Jeremy and Laura's house for a fun time of games, food, and CANDY!

This is "Sassy"  our girl scarecrow in the front yard,
 Lizzie says, "Give me candy!"
 Our very own blue fairy.
(that's Perry the platypus in the hat - aka - Agent P.  if you don't know - ask your kids!)

Emi with her friend Mario - like the mustache?
We had our share of Ninjas.
And lots of cute faces.
Ninja Tinley.
Oh yeah, what outside party would be complete without s'mores?

But I don't think you're supposed to eat it all in one bite!
less is s'mores?

Our good friend Clayton - who just got a new baby sister!

Papa, this is CRAZY GOOD!

See, I told you too much candy would mess up your teeth!

Open House for School - August 5

Yes friends and neighbors, school officially starts back next week!  This year we send our last little princess off to Pre-K!

So that means we did the whole open house thing yesterday:  two schools and all the paperwork that had to be filled out THREE times!  I'm glad it was Jena doing most of the filling out - but Donna and I did give her a hand when we got to Abi and Emi's school.  Definitely an area where technology could save some carpal tunnel or at least writer's cramp!

The first stop was Lizzie's school.

Lizzie and Mom meeting Ms. Lesleigh, her very first teacher!

Lizzie really like the reading area - even though she can't read!  Must have something to do with the fact that it's UP!

She wasn't real happy that they misspelled her name - "it's supposed to say LIZZIE!"  We had a hard time convincing her that it was right and her name is Elizabeth.

Then it was on to Abi and Emi's school.  Emi is going into kindergarten and her teacher this year just happens to be a friend of ours!  Yeah!

Here's Emi with Ms. Moore, her new teacher!

Checking out the new classroom!

Filling out all the paperwork!

Lizzie found a way to keep herself occupied.

The last stop on the tour was Abi's new room.  Second grade!  And several of the kids in her class are friends that were in her class last year!  Yeah!

Checking in and getting to know Mrs. Tyree.

 Abi's class!

Checking out Abi's room.

Waiting on Mom to fill out MORE paperwork!

We finally finished around 6 PM.

I, of course will be the primary designated driver this year for pick up - can't wait to hear all the stories of anouther exciting year!

Marisa and David's Sweetwater Engagement Party - Saturday, July 31

This was my hot date for the party!  I married WAY above myself!

Even the invitation was fun!

Pictures of the bride and groom in earlier years.

Coleman and Shirley Goodwin - parents of the amazing young lady that will soon be our new daughter!

Jena - Our other wonderful daughter by marriage!

There were lots of friends.

Chris and Anna - they've set a date, too -  April 2, 2011!
