Yeah! A mostly uneventful drive across New Mexico. And I do mean across! We went from the east side to the northwest corner! The distance might not be impressive to some, but for us this was a good day.
Of, course we had to make a stop at
in Albuquerque for gas (Thanks Rock Bridge!) and a few supplies.
A rotisserie chicken makes a great lunch for our crew - on salads or sandwiches!
Back on the road and through a lot more oil exploration and refining than I ever dreamed in NW New Mexico! We drove right through the San Juan basin, home to 336 fractured well! But oil exploration is not that popular to 3 little girls - it's just another long day in Alice! Thank goodness for books, dolls, and tablets!
We arrived in Cortez before dark! Yeah!
Tomorrow - Mesa Verde!
