Our Day of Blessings

Our small group from Rock Bridge Community Church visited a local nursing home yesterday.  While our desire and goal was to "deploy" ourselves in our community and share God's love, we found ourselves blessed beyond measure by the wonderful seniors we found there!

We had group waiting for us when  we arrived!

So we quickly "set up shop" and started!  One of the most amazing things that occurs whenever we serve like this is - we learn that there is always someone who can  use some encouragement and has a story to tell.

Lot's of massaging, polishing, and sharing happening all at once!

This is Hoyle.  He's 78 years old as of April 29th and had a twin brother named Doyle that died 3 years ago.  He had some great stories of growing up in Adairsville.

We had family of all ages involved! Katlyn, Thaley, and Tiffany shared and encouraged.
Just spending time with these wonderful folks was great!

Another satisfied "customer"!

This is Evelyn.  She is 94 years old and grew up in Brooklyn, NY!

 Lots of smiles and sharing!

Little ones provided some entertainment

At the end - the most common thought and statement?

We've got to get back here and do this more - on a regular basis!
