Utah - Arizona - Nevada all in one day!
We left Zion as the heat began to build. You don't really notice the heat when you're above 4,000 feet. But as soon as we left Zion and headed for Las Vegas, we started to notice!
By the time we got to St George, Utah, it was well into the 90's.
Back into Arizona for just a few miles!
It didn't cool down any as we went south and "down" either. By the time we got to Vegas, it was over a 100 degrees!
Boy, that second air conditioner is earning it's keep! We're running both units on the generator to keep the inside cool.
Early views of downtown, Temp - 104!
By the time we got to the campground and set up, we wanted to just stay in where it was cool.
We waited until it was dark, and then took the girls on a quick tour of the "strip" and a quick stop in the M&M store! oh yeah, it came a BIG thunderstorm while we were out sightseeing!
No, I didn't take the following pictures. I was too busy trying: 1) not to get run over by all the crazy drivers and 2) not to run over the horde on the sidewalks!
I felt like I should sing, "Jesus take the Wheel"!
It was still over 90 when we went to bed and 86 when we got up to leave this place!
Too hot! Too crowded! Too crazy!
